Let’s just start here—if you had seen my first logo, my first Instagram feed, or the PDF “welcome guide” I made back in the early days of my wedding planning business… you would’ve cringed with me. Truly. I didn’t know what I was doing—but I had heart. And a lot of hustle. And I guess that’s what started it all.

Looking back now, I smile. Because every phase had its purpose.

When I first launched J. Scott Weddings, I was just trying to figure out how to turn my love of beauty, design, and logistics into something that helped people. I didn’t have a roadmap—I just knew that I wanted to create unforgettable wedding experiences and make my clients feel seen. And over time, that dream grew into something so much bigger.

Now, years later, I get to look at this brand and say, “Wow. She’s grown up.”
It’s more refined. More luxury. But still me.

Every detail—from how I present myself online, to the way I curate wedding days and private events, to how I show up on Instagram—is a reflection of the evolution. And this new lifestyle blog? It’s the next chapter.

Launching this blog has felt like peeling back another layer—one that blends my life as a luxury wedding planner, a mama of three, a creative, a hostess at heart, and a woman who’s just trying to live with intention and joy. It’s not just about the pretty pictures (though there will be plenty of those!). It’s about inviting you in. To the behind-the-scenes. To the mindset. To the why.

I wanted a place where all of this could live together. The weddings. The travel. The branding. The motherhood moments. The recipes. The real talk.

This blog is that place.

I feel really blessed that I get to do this. That this business—this little dream that started with a very DIY Canva logo—has become a platform to share, to inspire, and to connect with other women chasing big things and beautiful lives.

So here’s to the evolution. The glow up. And the gift of growing out loud.

I’m so glad you’re here.

With love,
Jessica
